Glorious Linen Damask BANQUET Size
The pattern on this damask linen tablecloth is just glorious! In very good condition with the exception of the long edges with have begun to thin (one edge in particular has thinned quite a bit and has created peak holes through the thinning. Not as bad as it sounds. The good news is the tablecloth can be rehemmed less than 1" and these will all but disappear. Rehemming will not interfere nor intrude upon the pattern as the thinning is contained in the border only on the very outer edge. The inside field is very good with two itty bitty thread pulls. Priced accordingly. Measures 62" x 97".

Hints: Vintage tablecloths can be used for so many things other than to cover a table. To create a valance or curtain without any damage to the tablecloth, use metal rings with clips. Using a tablecloth as a curtain, first attach the clips onto the tablecloth positioning the clips evenly along the cloth. Then, thread the rings attached to the clips onto a curtain rod and you've just created something beautiful and interesting. To create a valance, fold the tablecloth in half diagonally and do the same steps with the rings and clips. It is not necessary for the tablecloth to be a perfect square in order to fold it diagonally.
Magazines such as Cottage Living have brought the beauty of vintage linens to the forefront and into the average person's home. I love looking through magazines and realizing that other people find vintage linens to be as spendid and exceptional as I do. For me, collecting vintage linens is a passion and brings me great enjoyment. The uses are endless, only limited by one's imagination.
